Who we are and what this covers
VITAPAY LLC (“VitaPay,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware limited liability company, state entity number 7159762. Our mailing address is 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, DE 19901, United States.
This policy covers information collected through this website, including enquiries, rate requests, statement reviews, and merchant, agent and office applications. A separate merchant agreement or notice may govern payment processing, the Translink account portal, or a bank’s or processing partner’s own use of information. Where another notice applies, read it alongside this policy.
Information we collect
The information requested depends on the service or form you choose.
- Contact and business information: names, email addresses, telephone numbers, business names and addresses, business type, website, processing volumes and messages.
- Applications and verification: business ownership and management details, tax identification numbers, date of birth, Social Security number where requested, bank routing and account information, and other information needed to assess a merchant application.
- Documents you submit: processing statements, identification documents, business certificates and bank verification documents. These may contain sensitive personal or financial information.
- Abuse prevention: Google reCAPTCHA processes browser and interaction signals, IP address and device information to assess suspicious submissions. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device information, requests to the website, and security or error information generated while operating the service.
- Preferences: a color-theme choice stored in your browser and the time zone your browser supplies for the clock and weather display.
- Conversations with Angie: if you use the chat, the name, email address and telephone number you enter to start it, and everything you and Angie write.
- Approximate location: the city your internet connection appears to be in, used only to show local weather (see “Browser storage and weather” below).
Use the designated application fields for sensitive information. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or unnecessary personal information in a general enquiry. Only submit information about another person when you are authorised to do so.
How we use information
We use information to answer enquiries, review statements, prepare pricing proposals, assess and route applications, arrange onboarding and support, and communicate about your request or business relationship.
We also use information to operate and protect the website, prevent misuse and fraud, troubleshoot failures, maintain necessary records, and meet applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations. Where consent is required for a particular use, we seek it separately. Sending an enquiry is not an agreement to a merchant processing contract.
Browser storage and weather
The website saves your selected light or dark theme in local storage under vitapay-site-theme. It remains until you change it or clear your browser’s website data. You can use the site without enabling this preference storage.
The header shows local weather. To choose the city, our server may look up the approximate location of your internet connection with an IP-geolocation provider. Before that lookup leaves our server, your IP address is shortened to its network (the last part is removed), so the provider never receives your full address; the result is a city, not your precise location. The city’s coordinates are then sent to Open-Meteo for the forecast. If the lookup is not available, the weather is for your browser’s time-zone reference city instead (New York if your browser uses UTC). We do not request GPS permission, we do not store your address or location, and neither provider receives your name or any application details. The clock and date use your own device’s time and format.
Your browser’s settings let you control local storage and cookies. The public website does not create a signed-in account or authentication cookie; the separate Translink portal may use its own cookies and settings.
Chatting with Angie
Angie is VitaPay’s virtual assistant, not a person. To start a conversation you give your name, email address and telephone number, and the chat is checked with Google reCAPTCHA to prevent misuse.
Your messages are processed by a service provider we use to write Angie’s replies, under our instructions. Do not share card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers or passwords in the chat; Angie will not ask for them, and the secure application is the place for that information.
When the conversation ends, a copy of it, with your name, email address, telephone number and a short summary, is emailed to our team at solutions@vitabyte.com so a person can follow up. If you ask, a copy is also emailed to the address you entered. Our website does not store the conversation on its servers; it exists in those emails and, so the chat can follow you from page to page, in your browser tab until you end the chat or close the tab. Angie’s answers are general information, not a quote or an offer: pricing and terms are confirmed in writing for your business.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including completing your request, administering a business relationship, meeting recordkeeping requirements, resolving disputes and protecting the service. The period varies with the type of record and the obligations of the organisations handling it; submitting a statement does not mean it is automatically deleted when a review is sent.
Application submissions are encrypted for delivery to the configured Translink intake service. Access, storage and retention after receipt depend on the receiving service and applicable requirements. We use safeguards appropriate to the information handled, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
To ask about a record’s retention or request deletion, contact us using the details below. We may need to retain information where a legal, security or contractual requirement applies.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask to access or correct information you provided, request its deletion, or ask questions about its use. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain uses, or appeal a decision on a privacy request.
Email info@vitapay.com with the subject “Privacy request,” or write to VITAPAY LLC at 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, DE 19901, United States. Describe your request and how we can reply. Do not include your full Social Security number, bank account number or identity document in the initial email.
We may verify your identity and, where relevant, an authorised agent’s authority before disclosing or changing records. We respond as required by applicable law and explain any limitation or denial. You can reply to request a review of our decision or contact the relevant privacy regulator. We do not retaliate against a person for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Operational messages about a request or account may still be necessary even if you choose not to receive marketing communications. Use an unsubscribe option when provided or contact us to express your preference.
Children, other websites and international access
This is a business-services website intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Links to the Translink portal, payment providers or other external websites may take you to services with separate privacy practices. Review their notices before providing information.
VitaPay operates in the United States. Information submitted from another country may be processed in the United States or in locations used by our service providers, subject to applicable requirements. Privacy protections may differ between countries.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our practices or obligations change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Where the law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it.
