Processing you can audit.
On a card sale most of the cost goes to the bank that issued the card and to the card network, and nobody can negotiate those. The only part a processor sets is its margin, so we publish ours and show the rest at cost.

Cards on VitaPOS
Two card paths, built, and in certification.
A card payment taken at your own till has to be certified by the processor and proved on the physical card reader before it touches real money. No software test can stand in for that, so we are not taking cards on VitaPOS until both are done.
Counted once
The till records the sale. The processor records the money.
The two records are matched and never merged, so a card payment is never counted twice.
Exact amounts
Money is held as exact whole units from the till to the statement, never as a floating point figure rounded along the way.
Differences shown
When the till and the processor disagree about a payment, the difference is listed for a person to resolve, never adjusted away.

- Taking cards on VitaPOS. Both card paths are built and wait on processor certification and physical card reader acceptance.
- Paying a check from a phone by scanning the receipt, which opens with card acceptance on VitaPOS.
- Tap to pay on a phone, and card payments taken while the internet is down. Neither is offered.
